Business Broker of the Year: Ron Frank, Business Brokers Queensland Ron Frank has been involved in business broking for nearly 20 years and has been the principal and licensee of Business Brokers Queensland since 1997. His career highlights include the selling of multimillion-dollar businesses, winning Business Broker of the Year awards for both Queensland and Australia and providing the best possible service to clients. Ron has always had a passion for assisting brokers in becoming more professional in their assessment, marketing and sale of businesses and is frequently called upon for advice on price evaluation, general marketing ideas and contract conditions. Corporate Support Person of the Year: Jo Tremaine, Place Estate Agents Jo is the head of several departments in Place's business support team including legal, compliance, administration and operations. On a daily basis, she handles a multitude of tasks. Attention to detail and a professional approach aid her in delivering work of the highest quality. Jo also plays a pivotal role in the franchise division of the business. Buyers Agent of the Year: Meighan Hetherington, Property Pursuit Early in her real estate career, Meighan recognised a real need for professional, exclusive representation for property buyers in Queensland, and founded Property Pursuit in 2003. Now in its seventh year of operation, Meighan and the team at Property Pursuit have purchased over 400 properties in Queensland for home buyers and investors. Community Service Award: Ray White Surfers Paradise The Ray White Surfers Paradise Group feels that as a successful member of the Gold Coast community it is only tting to give something back and to this end it has supported the Queensland Muscular Dystrophy Association for 16 years. Each year, Ray White Surfers Paradise holds a Gala Ball and Charity Auction, and in 2009 it raised more than $235,000 to bring the grand total raised over the years to more than $2.1 million.
