The impact of infrastructure on industrial property markets: Some elephants in the room By Thomas Richman, King & Co Property Consultants When asked about the impact of infrastructure - or lack thereof - on the local industrial property market, my initial response is a “no brainer”, as my daughter would say. Without any additions to South East Queensland’s infrastructure mix – particularly transport and land servicing – it’s obvious that the burgeoning industrial property market we enjoy today wouldn’t exist. And it’s equally clear that there won’t be a viable market in the future should we fail to commit the requisite planning, political will, and, of course, funds. REIQ Journal October 2008
