REIQ Journal : December January 2009
JOURNAL Q & A 29 Protect the interests of the seller, respect the rights of the buyer and do so better than anyone else and there will always be success for real estate professionals. Q Finally, what is it that you love most about the real estate industry? A The real estate industry has so many facets that I thoroughly enjoy. Perhaps the most salient is the relationship between home ownership and a commitment to the future by home owners.Without a stake in any endeavour we become at best an interested observer, but with a stake we become committed to the concept and reality of “community”. Home ownership and access to reasonable accommodation isn’t a privilege. Tomy mind it is a fundamental right in Australia today. A further aspect of real estate practice that really appeals to me is that it is still possible for everyone in the industry to achieve success through hard work, commitment and a love of the industry. There aren’t that many occupations or professions that provide that level of flexibility and opportunity. Real Estate Displays REIQ Journal December 2008/January 2009
